“On Top of the World: Songs of the Great Crooners,” is a concert featuring the fabulous Johnny K with a stunning jazz ensemble lead by the legendary John Graves, 7 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Pagosa Lake Clubhouse. The concert is sponsored by Elation Center for the Arts.

A young guy who’s got the magic of the great jazz singers of the past, Johnny K has an innate sense of showmanship.

Johnny made his first stage debut at the tender age of 4 in the musical Annie Get Your Gun. He went on to other musical productions including Oliver and Anything Goes, and performed with a group called Kids of the Century. He performed with the California Boys Choir at the Hollywood Bowl, with the London Royal Opera and the Los Angeles Opera Company.

Jazz seduced Johnny at the age of sixteen. Inspired by the music of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Fats Waller, Johnny pursued a career in the music business performing jazz standards and original numbers as well as recording and producing other artists.

Johnny has worked in the film industry since the age of 10. He appeared in the films Alligator, Bright Shining Lie, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and the NBC television show Throb. He also worked behind the camera on Fear Factor, Wild and Crazy Kids, The Bachelorette and Ultimate Revenge.

A highly talented and likeable guy, Johnny brings passion and creativity to everything he pursues. Come enjoy his singing and the inspiration of his accompanists at “On Top of the World: Songs of the Great Crooners.”
